Got a call from a ranch I hunt to come put a little pressure on the hogs. Weather was nice and cold. Clear, Sunny and 40 degrees on the first turn out with a 10 to 12 mph south wind.

All the sign was 3 or 4 days old. Hunted for 4 hours and didn’t get a bark. Made one final drop at 2:00PM. Rousty & Maddie grabbed a good track went 574 yards and bayed this boar at the base of a rocky hill under a cedar tree. Good solid bay. Channel went to them and it held solid. Walked Jet & Carlos 40 yards away & cut em. It was quite a tussle but they got him anchored.

Always grateful for a hunt but it felt good to avoid getting skunked! Boar looked to have some age on him.

Turned to be a good hunt…that boar looks like he’s been around the block a few years…
Sunday morning was a perfect morning to hunt…I had things needed doing for folks in need so I missed out on a good hunt…my hunting partner caught 3 nice hogs without me…
