Me and Rhett met up after I got off work today about 1:30. I got a new yella pup I’m calling Shaw I wanted to see what he was about. Rhett brought Curtis and Roach, I had sketch and Shaw. Went and hit a spot we haven’t hit in years south of town. Sketch and Curtis go 400 split. 100 yards later sketch falls bayed. Help goes and she never moves. 120 lb sow with bunch of pigs on her bayed In a fence line.

Pulled out of there and went to another place we don’t hunt much north of town. Casted once and dogs said no hogs. So to the ole trusty Lazy 5 ranch we go.

Coming down the mile drive and hogs got this place smoked like they always do coming out of deer season and we have been leaving this place alone. Cast em out and way they go. They push out and me and Rhett try to stay within a couple hundred. Shaw will go on some cows yet as a year old pup. Sketch eventually ends up 2 places over. About 800 yards or so and she’s been cold trailing. She finally shuts down as we start to head back towards truck and starts looping. 3-5 minutes later she was standing on him. Help got there and they never let him move. Heck of a hog to end the year on.

I can’t see the hog but sounds like Sketch is still on a roll.

Cajun here are some pics. Sketch has had a few pretty good outs the last 2 months.
About to go try another ranch here this evening. See if she carried some luck in to the new year.
