Was just wanting some advice on tracking systems. gps or radio? or would it be better to run both?

Garmin doesnt have the greatest tracking distance But it is defintley has pin-point accuracy and very compact. Just depends on what kind of hunting you do and how far your dogs usually range out.

Run both... I always have the radio collar on as "insurance".

If it came down only being able to run one or the other... i'd choose radio.

I run radio and a guy I hunt with runs the garmin and he always has problems with losing signal on his dogs. More than once we have relied on my collars because his weren't working. When the garmin works it is great though!

Thanks, I talked to a friend about it last night and with your replies I think I'll go with radio, just seems safer n more reliable
