Not trying to tell you what to do but I quit putting hay in welping pens, lost to many puppies from them getting under it and the mother laying on them until they were a couple weeks old.

Mike, I may try that, but with this being queens first litter, she ain't the best mom, im down to 2 out of 4 pups. Peewee, go to dog trade, ped info there. Have more trouble keeping them cool when they are born in the summer. Lol ,would like to have a litter with that many in it gives you alot to pick from.
