Title: Good Weekend - Marranos Muertos Post by: Bryant on March 06, 2012, 11:45:19 am Had a fun and eventful weekend hunting the Los Cazadores contest last weekend. I teamed up with ole shep, CenTexHogHunter and 4winds to make a run at some of those south texas hogs. We stayed in hogs most of the weekend catching a total of 17 head but just couldn't find the size we were after. Seems like no matter where we struck hogs on this ranch, the hogs were off to the river. Nueces seemed to come into play often, and finally we had to find us a boat. We had a couple guys cook for us all weekend (food was outstanding) and the accomodations were great. Had a great time, and maybe next year a little luck will come into play.

Didn't see any, but we were told to watch out because they were moving around. My arms look like I got attacked by a herd of them however....not a plant in that part of the country that doesn't have a sticker or thorn I think! I'm too old for that crap! We ended up on the river, on the opposite side on Sunday morning. I'm staying south next year!!!!
