Title: best bark collar?
Post by: cantexduck on February 13, 2013, 08:17:53 pm
In need of a few. I have used sport dog brand in the past. They are not working very well. I have issue with them moveing around the neck and not staying put. In order for the collar to stay put you have to put it on too tight, that isnt going to work. Do the tri tronics work better?

Dogs around here are just like the people that own them, wont listen to nothin!  The red ryder method worked better than any of the collars i tried.

Thing I like about tritronics is its very sensitive...even if they try that annoying little howl or whimper it will shock them..and got plenty of juice I put it on 110lb bulldog and it shut him up quick.

My kennels are to far from house for a BB gun and I don't want afraid of a gun.
Looks like I will need to order a few new collars. Driving my wife crazy , she is pregnant so I have to keep her happy.

Before you buy any bark collars , go on eBay and buy one of the $10-$14 dollar ones and try it. I bought two a year ago that were in a green & white box, both collars and shipping were less than $24 combined and they have worked better than the Sportdog or Tritronics I have and are a WHOLE lot cheaper. Plus they use regular AAA batteries so you can always have extras on hand.

At work and can't remember the brand (if there even was one) but look at the pics on eBay. It was a green & white square box with a pic of a Golden Retriever or something on it. I am going to buy 6-8 more now that I know they work well, and it will still be cheaper than 1-2 of the other brands.

Trust me, these bark collars work and they don't shock your dog until it barks . They even have an intensity level adjustment. They look cheap made, but mine have been in use for a year and still work....so I am sold on them.

I'm kinda new to this no bark collar concept on hunting dogs. I've heard of them for a while. Just wondering if it affects them barking while hunting or not. I use hounds and I want them open all the way. What's your experience about this? I have no preset notions but I am a little leery.
