Title: Been Lucky... Post by: chads7376 on February 16, 2013, 12:02:27 am Got to go hunting three times in a seven day period...Typically once a week.... Took my neighbor and his son this evening right after dark due to having to work late. We went to a spot on the coast by boat and dropped Sasha and Alley. They hunted their butts off for over an hour covering a lot of ground and came up empty. Went about two miles down the ditch and they went to acting piggy. Dumped them again and they b-lined to about 600 yards and Alley opened up twice and the race was on. Luckily they ran parallel (to an extent) with the water way.. They got him stopped at about 1.25 from us. We were able to ease that way in the boat and get within 700 yards of em. We walked some nice open flat ground up to about 60 yards with no lights on and sent Weezy and Master Splinter in... As soon as we turn on lights and take off were in knee deep water...wtf..lol. Any how caught pig, wet nasty stinky salt mud humans.
This pig couldn't have weighed 150#'s even soaking wet but he had some decent cutters. Not a scratch on a dog. My neighbors son with the pig. He was going to stab it but I think all the commotion with the water and dogs whoopin this pig kinda rattled him... lol. maybe next time.
