Title: Randy Bumpers- Team High Yella Post by: TShelly on April 12, 2013, 04:59:40 pm High Yella had a good time hunting the Bumpers this year. Story of our year, we were just a hog or two from being in the money or placing. We got 2nd in the stringer with 19 hogs; and was 6th in heaviest 10 with 1706#. Weighed in around 2800#'s with our 19 head.
We caught over 30 in the day and half we hunted. Had two die the trailer on the trip to the weigh in, including our biggest sow of the weekend. Causing us to just miss the win on stringer of hogs. The dogs drowned countless hogs in the Trinity river before we got a boat to them. It was a fun weekend, just did not catch the weight we needed to compete in the big money. Dog work was great. We will ready for next year. With the success y'all had in tournaments this year, there is no doubt that teams were gathering around when you were weighing in. Thanks for helping us get the word out. Next year we are hoping to see the Randy Bumpurs Memorial Hog Hunt become bigger and better.
