Why is it eveywhere I go you can't find any bullets from 243 cal on down? Tried everywhere to find 22 lr for my son and the shelves are still bear??

Same here, been lookn .22lr a couple wks after mad dash for ammo and no1 seems to stock it or can keep it, but yet there r some that bought it before or during the ammo raid that r askn an arm, leg and ur first born just for a box of 50rd. A guy on thf is offering some off the wall brand of ..22 for $115 for 500rd, he remarks r, i know what i paid for it, and know what i can get for it. There aint a shortage of ammo, the gov possibly paid off the ammo manf to slow the sales, not sure but just my speculation, but sounds like somethn our communist, anti-christ  gov would do, to make it seem worse than it is.

Called Obama and the way the world is going. Such as school shootings and crap. Everywhere is always sold out or wants an arm and a leg form just .22 shells! Now a box of 500 .22 is going for $115 and I WAS buying em for like $20 or $30. They certainly ain't  cheap anymore

Go to gunbroker.com, it's like ebay for guns, there is every kind of ammo you could want on there and the prices are'nt that bad at all. You have to bid on it or use the buy it now option. I bought some 5.56 and did'nt pay much more than I was before the shortage. 1000 rounds Lake City 5.56 (.223), brass casings, full metal jackets. Used buy it now for $ 625. My dad just bought 1500 rounds of 22 long rifle for for less than $150.

They were'nt hollow points. Just lead nosed target rounds but we've shot a few and have'nt had any miss fires.

If you can catch a gun show in your area theres some good prices there you just got to shop a bit and do some wheeling and dealing

you guys aint up to date with whats going on with ammo country wide it seems,lol. 223 and 556 is popping up here for 10 bucks per 20 round box more regular now. a yr ago i was getting pmc 223 no shipping no tax for 5.99 a box.  i was in line at walmart 5 days last week and no bulk 22 ammo. i will be there in a few minutes this morning( its 5.27 am right now and ammo comes out at 7 am) as they got 2 trucks in last night. the internet is still spotty and high in most cases.and walmarts rem 22 box of 525 is about 25 bucks after tax when it does come in. oh and 3 box limit at walmart of ammo per day.

I heard the government is buying up all the ammo. Anybody else heard this?

I don't know what the heck is going on but my son is ticked off cause now he has to limit himself on his ammo!!!

Im sure we r all up to date on the ammo. There aint NONE. How much more up to date can a person be? Iv got to work for a living to pay bills, aint got time to wait at wal mart n fight the ammo hording a$$wipes who buy for goin price, and sell for 2x as much. I'll conserve what i got till this crase is over.

The ammo manufacturers have been running at capacity for the last 10 years.They were barely able to keep up with  demand before the country went into panic-buying mode. The problem is panic buying and hoarding.
Simple supply and demand. When you go into Academy or Wal-Mart in the evening and there is a line of people a mile long pushing and shoving to get ammo, that is panic buying. When them same line of folks are
willing to pay 25 bucks for 500 rounds of 22 ammo how can one expect any other outcome. This is panic buying and price gouging at it's finest. Just a fu**ed up situation.

we talked to the supervisor at our academy and he said that all shipments for bullets arrive at 8 o'clock every Tuesday and are almost all gone by lunch

Academy gets ammo every Tuesday Thursday and Saturday morning but have to get it early in the morning. There is a place here in Waco called unique guns and they keep ammo bulk .22 let u can buy 500 for $50 and Walmart gets ammo but u have to be there at the right time

I work in the gun industry and No the government is not buying up all the ammo. Its simply because everyone has gone into a panic over Obama and gun control...that's why lead time for us and our barrels is about 3-5 months out esp on caliber....anything that most 17, 22RF, 264, 284, and 308 is out. That's our most popular calibers that we have orders for. give it time and it will slow back down. As for websites go to Ammonow.com. It has helped a lot of people I know find ammo.

no 22lr isnt reloadable.  I was talking in general.  Im swimming in 22lr though, not real sure where it all came from but i cant remember the last time i bought any.

Thats what thought with 22lr, wasnt sure if anything had changed with them. I think iv got a couple hundred round left, just gotta be sparing with them till these hoarding idiots get dun stock piling. Im sure if it gets bad enuf nation wide, and this country turns into pure chaos, there will b pleanty of bullets to scavange off the dead.
