Title: FLYS ON DOGS EARS Post by: dallas22 on May 30, 2014, 11:10:47 pm I'VE GOT A DOG WITH EARS BEING ATE UP BY FLYS ITS LOOKING BAD NOW HAS ANYBODY HAVE ANY DOGS WITH THIS PROBLEM AND WHAT DID U DO TO STOP FLYS FROM EATING ON THE DOG. ALSO IS THERE ANYTHING I COULD USE TO SPRAY THERE PENS THAT WILL KILL THE FLYS EGGS IVE HEARD OF BUYING SOME TYPE OF INSECT AND SPREAD THEM AROUND THE YARD AND THEY IT THE FLY LARVE. ANYBODY EVER HEARD OF THIS?

I keep a spray bottle with permethrin mixed in it at the kennel just for the ears . I will also put corona salve with a little permethrin mixed in it and put on the black dogs ears . them flies love a black dog !!
Title: Re: FLYS ON DOGS EARS Post by: MrsLouisianaHogDog on May 31, 2014, 10:43:33 am I use Ultra Shield, and sometimes I use a paste called SWAT on their ears for the dogs that seem to get harassed the most for some reason. Both work well.

I don't spray a whole lot one the dogs because its so powerful. If you don't believe me spray your hands real good and let it dry and you will feel the effects.

You just have to be sure that another dog cant get to it and chew on it. Here is a link to the ones we use.

Costs round 11 dollars
