Title: Cross breeding Post by: Slim9797 on January 26, 2015, 09:10:02 am Anyone ever heard, seen, or had a Redbone coon hound crossed with a leopard catahoula. My uncle has an impressive leopard hog dog that's getting a little old. Most of his dogs are up in age. So me and him got to talking about trying to breed my red bone and his leopard and get him some youth back in his bunch of dogs. My redbone does decent with coons she's more of a "me too" dog. I was just wondering what people would think about such a cross
Title: Re: Cross breeding Post by: halfbreed on January 26, 2015, 09:47:08 am I've been running cur hounds crosses for years . the red bone and cat is the only hound I haven't tried . they make good dogs but both parents bring something to the table . you just have to try it and see if you like it , some may be open or semi open and all could be tight mouthed . just some things cur folks have to think about .
