Title: Attention Louisiana hunters... Post by: Goose87 on February 18, 2016, 10:51:12 am In case some of you were unaware the state is trying to close several of the HOGDOG seasons on several on the wma's due to interference with black bears and their Cubs. Last year only 200 hogs were recorded being killed on the wma's, I know for a fact that isn't the truth because I know of over 200 being taken off the wma closest to me. What their basing their info off of is the hunters filling out the wma permit of use cards. I'm just as guilty as the next of doing it. We as hunters need to step up and show them we are producing numbers if we want to keep our seasons open. So if you hunt a wma in Louisiana please take the extra few minutes after your hunt and record your harvest to ensure seasons for the future.

Post by: labaconchaser on February 18, 2016, 11:03:27 am That's true talked with a nice biologist couple days back while coming out that exactly what he said please record kills or the ppl that sit in the office and make decisions are going to close the season so if we want our season to continue we need to record the kills and catches its my favorite time of the year and I went back and recorded my kills that day (21)
