Whats the story on hot spots on a dog, im talking about when a dog licks a spot til its making a sore? I have not changed food and i have four dogs with that problem right now

my guess is thats a lick sore,usually due to boredome.

Hot spots can be a skin infection such as bacterial, allergy, fleas or mites...

My vote is fleas or mites because 4 of your dogs have it...

1.5 cc''s of 1 percent ivomec under the skin and then 5 to 7 days another cc and again another cc a week later and problem solved for all dog mites...my first thought is leaning towards mites...

I thought it was boredom at first cuz we just started our hog season, but they werent doing much all summer and didnt have any, but now I realize its fleas or mites, Im leaning towards fleas because I know they have some, they usually dont have any, and I noticed one of them scratching a bunch, thanks Ruben! Im going to give them some meds tomorrow

prob flea's man its so dry here I been having flea's bad ...... (https://pics.drugstore.com/prodimg/463421/155.jpg) this stuff will get em off your dog ,,,,but best results I get is diesel and gas maixed sprayed on the ground  where they are .....but the repel works but don't last long .....

Where are the sores located at, might also look into seeing of any type of formula might have been changed up on your feed at the mill...

Lief...the recipe I gave you is for mites...but lots of good info on this forum for eliminating fleas...

wash em down with dawn dish liquid man,, itll kill em instantly... and do all the kennels with it   if they on concrete//

That's the easiest and probably cheapest route for flea control. Figure up what you'll have invested in time and fuel going to get all the stuff to treat your dogs and yard to control the fleas and the time you have in actually administering the remedies and repeating them when necessary, all that can be fixed with pill....

Mostly the sores are on their wrists, i do have more fleas than ive ever had, i gave them all a flea and tick pill, weve had five mild winters in a row, all the bugs have been bad, ill check the feed

I along with two friends of mine all had a few dogs who had sores on their feet and wrist/ankle area, could never get good weight on those dogs, finally broke down and brought one to the vet and before he pulled any kind of test he said it was hookworms, sure enough when he pulled a fecal the dogs was eat up with hook worms, we all started giving pyrantel poamate and with in a month all the sores had cleared up and the dogs really blew up ok weight...

Thanks goose, ive been worming them regularly, but it wouldnt hurt to give them some of that, they all have good weight except two, and one of them has me puzzled

fleas or not, I dip em in burnt motor oil or just apply to affected area 3 times and it clears em up
