I have two pups left, one male that is black with a lil brindle and one female that is a light fawn color and real houndy look'in. The momma is the hound, I think she got knocked up by both my cat and my pit/bmc(that explains the females color) both daddys are rcd's/"me too dogs". Their young but coming along pretty good and will shut a hog down quick. These oughta be some decent pups. Their somewhere round 3 months, old. You really need to get with  GOOD welder and be his helper for a little while. You have no clue what you will learn as a helper. Plus you will be able to make good money while you try to rig out. I would get everything I needed before I broke out on my own and you can do that as a helper.

Is he going to change the times, Like maybe check in Fri. night or something. That doesent leave alot of time for us out of town guys to hunt

Im needing some help, I've had three hogs dye on me now one of them wast the first boar I had ever caught. I was feeding corn then I started feedind some 12% sweet feed. During the summer I had a kiddie pool out there and even setup a sprinkler. The hogs never seemed to gain any weight no matter what they ate and some one told me that I could've got a Hog with some kinda worms and now its in the ground. Does that sound right, and if so how do I get rid of'em?

Around here thats just about all you see is hound crosses on hogs, Ive got a few buddys with BT/BMC crosses and there some flat out good dogs, they have the nose but their not super long ranged like most straight hounds.

Finaly got my first hog. Took my two pups sat. morning along with some of my buddy's dogs. One of my buddys dogs struck in a hay meadow and when we got to the bay my two and his had it caught I was so stinking proud of my two pups that I kissed'em both. I cant even begin to describe what a rush that was and it was well worth all the time and effort I've put into training dogs vs. buying one felt like I did when I killed my first buck when I was little. I am officialy a hog doogger now LOL                                                                               

We picked up an American bull dog the other day he looks to be a couple years old, real good looking sucker but he has no intrest in a hog what so ever. He has even watched another dog catch and didnt even bark. Anybody ever have one like this and got them catching? I just hate to get rid of this dude without trying everything, so im hoping to pick up some pointers from yall

Yea your right, If we would've had a good catch dog that would've been a whole different deal.

I'm just know getting into running hogs, I've been on this site for a lil while now.Mostly asking stupid questions and reading all you guy's post. I've been working my dogs in a baypen at the house and trying to hunt them when I can,but I keep coming up dry. I was just fixing to get rid of the dogs I had and start over untill the other morning. My buddy talked me into going with him last Sat. at a place we had went to before and got nothing, but this time the dogs actualy struck! It kinda got me off guard, they wound up in a hay medow full of head high johnson grass so thick you almost had to swim through it, and bayed. The only problem was the hog kept slapping the dogs off and they would loose him in the grass he eventualy broke and ran through the field and we wound up loseing him , but the point is that our junkie dogs that I was giving up on actually came through and bayed one.When we loaded up and headed home I felt like an old pro, my junk dogs had just bayed there first hog. And let me tell ya, I just thought I was hooked before. Well, anyway just figured I get on here and update my progress for anybody who would care to read.

That sucks, that dog was a celebrity around here.

That l3 bunch is something else. I'm just getting into hog hunting with dogs and it drives me crazy to watch them. Ive got a few dogs I'm working with and they need alot of woods time with proven dogs before I try to turn'em out on there own and to be honest I don't see much difference between mine and l3's dogs and he says they've taken years to get to that level. And another thing, I know alot of guys that have never hunted in there lives that are calling me trying to find a great Dane do they can go do some hog hunting just because the saw a scripted fake hunt, man it drives me crazy! And have what's up with his new "boarhound" breed he's coming up with, I don't see alot of hound in any great Dane I've ever been around and I sure haven't seen anykind of nose on any of there dogs much less the Danes. Anyways sorry no commitment Ive tried to stay out of the mess but I had to vent, it's a reality tv show, and if you put yourself out there you gotta be able to take the criticism that goes with the fame.

I was talking to my dad the other day and he told me that he has some border collie/pit pups, wonderd if anybody had ever seen that cross done

I had gators and there was nothing I couldn't get through but I banged up my rims and had trouble keeping them aired up. My buddy had the new 589's they were just as aggressive but cut to where they cleaned better and they had a bead guard that really helps . If I had to buy new ones it would be the 589's .

I'm in Muskogee Ok, my yard had almost 8 inches of water in it. My boys soccer ball got washed in to the ditch and wound up a 1/4 mile down the road and it's still raining. This is crazy.
