Thanks so much!  Of all the footage we captured in two mornings, I will have to say my favorite was when the sow saw the catch dog coming, squared up and absolutely body slammed him.  Then she pitched him two more times before he was able to get his feet back under him.  This will let you know how tough and driven these dogs are to catch.  Also pretty cool footage of the bulldog on the old absolute monster boar in the first segment.

I hope that you will tune into CARNIVORE this week as we take Menard School Teacher, Kimberly Powell on her first hog hunt.  Kim had seen a post that I had made on Facebook with the oldest hog I have ever caught in my life.  Since she comes from a ranching family and concerned about hogs on their property, she invited us out to hunt.  I decided that it might make interesting TV to show her on the hunt and she how she reacted to such organized chaos.

Last week while filming CARNIVORE, we caught a big boar west of Menard with big double cutters on the left side.  To see photo, go to CARNIVORE TV facebook page.  5th Grade Menard Teacher, Kim Powell was the hunter.  It was her first hunt and she killed about a dozen hogs.
Anyone ever see this before?  I have not.

I must admit that when I first heard about the app, I was not overly impressed.  After attending all three of the Texas Trophy Hunters Extravaganzas and visiting with hundreds, if not thousands of folks, most under 40, I have changed my mind.  I was shocked how many folks downloaded the app in the booth and said that they never watched TV just Netflix or whatever that they could view on their smart devices.  I know that I am a Dinosaur and it is proven most everyday.

This week we will be hunting with hounds again as we travel to the Navajo Nation with Marine and CARNIVORE TEAM Member, Calvin Redhouse.  If you have ever had the desire to hunt the big predators out west or just enjoy watching them, you will like this one.  Over the last couple of years, no one has been able to capture footage of lions, bears, cats and hounds like CARNIVORE'S Calvin Redhouse.

It ain't hogs but possibly the closest thing to them...we will be hunting bears with hounds on the Navajo Reservation.  The hunters will be Kadden Kothmann from Big Spring and CARNIVORE'S Cameraman, Steve Roberson.  We will be hunting with CARNIVORE'S Calvin Redhouse and Ty Sandoval who were born, raised and live on the reservation. 
No baiting as it is illegal on the Navajo Nation so we will be hunting with hounds as it has been done for hundreds, if not thousands of years.  I hope that you will tune in this evening at 6:00 PM, Saturdays at 12:30 PM and Sundays at 6:00 PM.

Thanks for the kind words.  As most of you know, hog hunting, especially with dogs is a rapidly growing sport so we like to have an episode every season.
We are blessed out here to have access to most of Menard County.  If the dogs go on a neighboring ranch, we go in and kill the hogs and then let the rancher know.  They always thank us as no one wants the hogs out here.

This week on CARNIVORE, we will be hog hunting with Rex Bumpus, Jeff Hughes, Brandon Burch and Coby Porter here in Menard County.  While I have hog hunted off and on for many years, the five boars that we caught on this two morning hunt were the best that I have seen.  CARNIVORE airs on the PURSUIT Channel 393 on Dish, 604 on Direct at 11:30 Pm on Fridays, 12:30 PM on Saturdays and 6:00 PM on Sundays.  If you are a fan of hunting hogs with dogs, I think that you will love this one....
