4  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / good started dog wtt on: October 27, 2012, 04:38:33 pm
mtcurXcatahoula 11 months old started very well. hunted him prolly 25 times and put him on pigs most of them. he is open on track with other open dogs and semi by hiself. he has a very good nose. i hunted him alone last weekend and he went 600 yards and struck and bayed by himself for about 20 mins and i turned another dog loose which busted the bay and he went with the hog about another 1000 yards. i have had him stick with my lead strike dog for over 2 miles on a runner in solid woods and thickets. he is going to be a really good dog i know what i have but i just hunt rough dogs.not all the way trash broke. he is a smaller dog about 35 pounds and is loose and i would like to trade him for a really rough dog that is started very well or good rcd. just something rough that has been on pigs and can stop a runner and knows whats going on to run with my lead strike dog that is suicidal and needs more help. call or text whenever 318 578 0779 and let me know what you have and we can discuss everything. located in springhill la. willing to drive some to meet. email curtiscade09@hotmail.com but dont check it.

8  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: It's Really a shame on: October 05, 2012, 04:45:10 pm
my father owns 120 acres(which i am to inherit and the caretaker now if you will) of some nice hardwood bottoms. it has been in our family since his great grandfather bought it in the late 1800s and homesteded it. well we have always been nice and let a few people hunt it we knew and let people ride 4wheelers through just to have something to do since everything is fenced and gated up these days. so over the past 5 years or so i have had 3 deerstands stolen, a family friend that lives beside our property peppered in HIS driveway with squirrel shot from a trespasser (he yelled stop shooting this way you are hitting me and my house) and they cussed him. i had a guy i didnt even know bring in a deerstand and a feeder one season, so i finally found out who it was and got in touch with him and asked him to remove it nicely since he didnt ask in the first place, he said he would but told me if i dared touch his stuff he would come to my house and kick my a$$. And after someone tore my gate down going into the woods people started dumping trash down it, and after that got so bad i couldnt take it anymore i cut down a tree across the road so no one could go down there period. well i be darned if someone didnt go down there and cut the tree up and start dumping stuff again. there are to my knowledge after i looked yesterday, 4 matress and boxspring sets, 2 toilets, 3 couches, a love seat, about 15 computer monitors and i couldnot begin to tell you all the amounts of trashbags and miscalanious junk down there.i have even found about 5 dead bull dogs down there people just dump out that had been killed fighting. its people like that who ruin it for all of us that has respect for other peoples property and really apreciate it when someone gives you the opertunity to hunt it. i really feel for everyone of yall who just wont to do the right thing and ask to hunt and be respectful of someone elses property when its just as easy to slip in at night and them never know but they still wont let you. its a shame that these kind of people have ruined it for us. Angry Angry Angry Angry

10  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: Strike Dog or Catch Dog? on: October 02, 2012, 08:14:18 pm
Try hunting with out a find dog its pretty easy no hogs no need for a catch dog.

I got a 12 ga that catches harder than any catch dog I have ever seen.

Dont get me wrong I love a great catch dog but I can live without one and have just as much fun and with a full belly .

X2
nothing to find the hog=dont need anything to catch it with

every dog i own is a mix breed. catahoulaXmtcur, walkerXcatahoula and i like em like that. some of the best dogs ive seen where just hines 57 mutts that just so happen to like finding hogs. im fairly new to the sport as well and i learned real quick u cant base your judgement on a certain breed of dog just because the r yella r have class eyes or you like to hear a bawl mouth in the woods.  its the DOG that matters more than it is the breed

get a shock collar on him and Drive around and find a deer standing on the side of the road turn the dog loose and when he starts running bambi, stimulate him lol...do that a few times and he will get the picture. A buddy of mine told me how well it worked and how little effort it takes apose to going to the woods and tryin to find a deer ect...i tried it on a bluetick and a walker and it worked good

18  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: dc 30 or 40? on: September 26, 2012, 11:13:57 pm
Ive got a dc 30 & a 40 both with long range antennas and in the woods the dc 30 works better...has much longer range...but the design of the charger is PISS POOR, u have to clean the contacts and wiggle it around and if where the charger slides onto the coller gets messed up ive had to tape it down...but the dc40s charger is all good IMO so whatever road u decide to go down there are going to be ups and down. And i have the the 220 and it works fine for me
19  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: open BLMC dog on: September 25, 2012, 09:53:51 pm

20  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / started mtcurXcat trade for cd on: September 23, 2012, 04:14:20 pm
i have a half cat half mt cur pup bout 10 months old about 35 pounds. he hunts with my older dogs, knows what a bay is and will hunt by himself on fresh sign. been on hogs in woods several times and last weekend we bayed a large group and they broke and he left and tried to trail one by hiself for about 500 yards.he has the wont too just needs some help and some more hunt time and i believe he will make a good hand. he will bay all day in pen. he will open on a runner especially if another dog does. he bays loose and i like rough dogs is why im getting rid of him. i would like to trade for a cd or rcd that is atleast started good and ready to hunt. it cannot have any agression to dogs or especially people(i have kids running around). located in springhill la will drive some to meet. Call or text anytime 318 578 0779 and let me know what you have. email Curtiscade09@hotmail.com but dont check it
