Hello,

Wondering if I could hear some option. I have some ranches that are supposedly having hog problems. They are around Sonora and Rocksprings area in the hill country. I live in GA and usually go out there a few times a year to hunt deer and exotics. We have plenty of hogs over here just curious if anyone here hunts around this area? Maybe I could meet and set you up to get some hogs off.

How is the hog population in that area? Anybody hunt around Hill Country? Would love to hear about the hogs, dogs and best methods. Appreciate your option and insight..

This is how I hunt. Every dog I own will hunt by there self and I prefer it this way. We usually bring 2/3 curs and 1 bulldog and rotate after a caught hog. It will really show you what your feeding. Most dogs you turn out alone won't leave past the headlights on a dark night with no wind or get off the back of the truck. I expect each dog I feed to find and bay hogs alone. Those are just my expectations I know different strokes for different folks. But it only takes 1 dog to find and bay a hog and there's only 2 ears to catch it.

Yes Marty is a friend of mine. I travel between Atlanta and South FL for work. So when I am up there we hunt together!

I recently aquired some property only accessible by fourwheeler or walking. With a very good amount of hogs. 
Walking after my dogs sounds like a nightmare so I have decided fourwheeler is the way to go.

Just curious how many people hunt off them?
Would love to hear input on name brands, models, what to stay away from and your set up.

Most of my friends hunt off Rangers or Buggies. I would like to see your SET UP!!!!

Anything and everything that you can mount on a fourwheeler or pull behind.

I am trying to get some ideas. My ideal situation would be a small box with a rig rack or chain on top.
That could hold and store 4/5 (50lbs dogs) easily.

Great looking pups. The 1st generation is not bad either 

3 rivers is nice. Have caught a lot of hogs out there. For the money and acreage you literally can't beat it. But its big like Cajun said 120,000 acres. I would guess around 50-100 members. You won't see any people if its not deer season. but you better have a dog with some hunt. 

There are about 3,000 hunting leases all over N FL from Gaiensville to Perry and Panama City to Jax it really comes down to how far your wanting to drive.
SandHill is a nice lease but alot of hound hunters along with Big Horn but I heard they changed the rules at Big Horn where you can only run dogs during hunting season.

Some of the better leases in N FL were towards the coast near Cedar Key and Hickory Mound alot more teeth.
Look in the back of woods and waters magazines. Some of the best leases I hunted was because of that magazine LOL

yeah I remember.  Couldn't remember where you were hunting though.  Did you hunt with drake while you were up there?  I hooked him up with Brandon after I got him hooked down here.

I only know one Drake and he was the guy who rides Renegade for the Seminoles. It this the same guy?
Only hunted with him once or twice but seemed like a real nice guy. I think we caught 7-8 each trip. Surprisingly because we were in N FL hunting a dogged out lease.

Ill never hunt up there again I am spoiled down here.

He looks like a boy I grew up with named brian.  What part of the country do you hunt in?

I have a 23,000k outside palmdale and another 1500 acre orange grove around lake placid/sebring! I have always called him Slim. I will find out what it says on his birth certificate. LOL 

I am not sure if you rememeber but we talked last year sometime. I use to hunt in N FL with Brandon G and a couple Ft Myers boys.

Your buddy from Ft Myers looks awful familiar.  Whats his name?

I am sure you probly know him. He hangs out with Brandon Gorsuch and Dennis. His name is Slim.
He lives right there around Buckingham.
