Ivermectin can cause irritation to the throat and will produce a cough that sounds just like Kennel Cough. If it goes away in a couple of days, I would say your dog had an issue with the Ivermectin. When I dose Ivomec, I draw up the desired amount of drug and then fill the rest of the syringe with flat Dr Pepper. The syrup in the DP helps to coat the throat as it goes down and you shouldn't have issues with the Ivermectin cough afterward.
