I like the cd to hit the hog as hard as they can and lock down immediately preferably on the ear.  I've seen more dogs get cut by fighting or dancing with the hog and not catching right when they get to the hog.  Also the hunter should be right behind the dog to leg the hog.  I like rcds but if their is a long delay between the catch and the hunters arrival theirs more of a chance of the dogs getting cut.
