lol   you guys are funny it aint the dog its how  you train them

You can't train hard mouths and lack of self preservation. If a dog has it, it's born with it.

x2 a dog is either born with it or without.

This is extreme but an example. The best dog trainer in the world is hired to train a weenie dog to compete and win against the greyhounds at the dog track. 2 years later with the greatest trainer in the world the dog is still a weenie dog and he still can't keep up with the greyhounds. A hunting dog is born and a good trainer/handler can bring out the best in it but the dog has to have it to be good at it. Also the handler can set the dog up for greater success when hunting in the woods by making the right plan to hunt the woods in a certain way at different times of the year or certain weather conditions. This is only helping a good dog to hunt better but the handler can not make the dog hunt if the dog doesn't have it.

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
A hunting dog is born not made...
