MY dad and I used to make these 15 years ago for our beagles. Went I got back in hunting dogs I remembered we still had all the supplies so I made a few. I use a different clamp. It is an actual cable clamp and not a wire clamp. The stuff from TSC is smooth wire not cable. Check out the clamps in my pictures. If looks like a set of bolt cutter with a hole cut in the middle about 1/8 inch wide. We actually had the clamps from our chicken farm. They were used to splice the cable on the curtains and were always uder a substainial load.
