I had 2 knives made by Bill Middlebrook in Haskell, TX. He makes his own steel, damascus and powdered steel. They hold they're edge unlike anything I've ever seen. I have used them like a hatchet to cut ribs, even skint and quarter a 1500 pound steer and could still shave with it. He will make them however you design them. I designed mine from one end to the other.
