Great hunt Marvin! 

Only reason that cyprus is still there was because of the imperfection in the trunk or the loggers woulda took it too!  The SE used to be covered in giant cyprus, trees that rivaled the mighty California redwoods... Seen old black and whites of trees 30' in diameter... but the loggers brought the saw mills to the trees.... in even the deepest, nastiest swamp in Florida, all you see now are cut off stumps of the extinct giants...
