We have a pretty decent relationship with our vet so whenever I run low I get a bottlle of Remadyl from him for hard times.  I have also read that childrens Motrin (Ibuprofin) works well and supposedly isnt toxic like the Tylenol. 

I dont use it constantly because it cant be good for the body but if I can stick my entire finger in it, the length of my hand or they have wound up at the vet then I will give it for 3 days morning and night until the initial soreness wears off.

Hope your dogs heal up quick!
