Some pups don't show interest in a pen. Try tying a pig up and hiding it in the woods. Walk him cross it to see if he boogers up on it. If still no go by 8 months plus would seriously rethink his position as a hog dog due to lack of natural gameness. To many pups out there giving 100% and doin it without having to beg them to bay. Some like to wait but I figure that depends on how much your willing to spend on feed to find out if you were feeding a cull the whole time. JMO Hope he turns on for ya bud.
