So if he works out its more the exception than a rule Ive heard they are more of a bird dog now but ive seen "junk" dogs do great things. I guess i should of looked up training v. Hunting line topic first.

According to your profile and previous post, you are buddies with a "dog trainer" ....
I say breed away and then let your buddy do the training...
