I used to have the green LaCrosse boots, I had to FIGHT to get my calves into them. I just purchased another fat boy boot, that expands on the side. Still have the same problem with them, they are just about impossible to get into. I even tried using some foot powder to try to help my leg slide in.

If you find some boots that work, please let me know.
