Not only has the type of dog, the way you hunt, and what you do with the hogs changed but the terms used in discussing the sport have changed. "Strike dog" is really a hound term used to describe the dog that finds a track. "Find dog" is the old term for a Cur dog that "finds" stock whether it be cattle or hogs, Cur dogs find stock then "bay it". Cur dogs don't "strike" unless they are open trailing.
