run one pup at a time with a couple of older dogs that are cattle broke. If he or she goes to a cow and the others will not assist you will already be one step ahead on calling the dog out. A lot of times this will work without having to inflict any pain or fear in a pup. If a pup is hunting scared of the outcome for every time he trashs it will make them not want to hunt. therfe are a lot of dogs that there is just no other way to break them from trash other than a good ol beating or shock therapy. But I personally try this and it works for me a lot of the time. enough to were I don't have to get abusive in any way. I would rather be smarter than the dogs im hunting. Not at all saying I don't whip one. But when I do I see that that's the only way they will learn and they take one good enough that they listen after that for the most part.
