Don't shock them an call them to u. IMO. They can associate the shocking with getting to far out from u. If my dogs run a deer I shock them but I don't call them I want them to go back hunting not come to me. If u have a tone on ur shock collars u can tone them and call them to u an they learn Wat the tone is. I hunt a lot of hounds an can call an tone all my hounds off a bear tree or a hog bay. I have took sum hunt out of dogs in the past by shocking them an calling them to me. They think they got to stay right with u. Shock them for baying cows an don't say ne thing to them just go on hunting.
