A very, very wise man taught me...go slow, if you want to go fast.
I had a supervisor that always said that and it is very true...
but like already said...the golden opportunity was when he fired up the second time and at that time a bay dog should have been let in to bay first and then send him in...
that little bit of butt whipping probably set him back for at least a little while...letting him in at the right time is always best as well as knowing when to take him out...just something to always be thinking about when working dogs and making the effort to make all the right decisions at the right time...sounds like everyone is saying about the same thing to you...good luck...
