A dog that gives up and doesn't have bottomis a cull to me. I've had many dogs that were cut badly stayed bayed or keep running until I catch them; and they still want to go. My catch dog sure better stayed caught or die trying. If you want your dog to give up-you may want to relook your own individual mental toughness.
Maybe another topic but it sounds like your dogs may be tougher than you. So how many people want a dog that is cut to quit or come back? Not me. Me and my dogs are out to catch game and we want a caught hog at the end of the hunt.
