That average speed could be altered by roading, hauling, or etc. I can promise you if that dog ran that speed for much more than an hour or so then he's doing a HELLVA job running that hog. By the way did you catch the hog?
caught six today on that hunt.. we roaded alright. Roaded around behind the dogs sticking hogs.

And thats the way the cookie crumbles. I havent hunted with peaches but a handful of times but I know that fella knows what a good dog is.
I wont get into this discussion because in my opinion there is no right answer. The variations in everything from the terrain to the hog population to hunting pressure dictate how we hunt and that directly affects amount of bottom our dogs have/need to get it done.
