I have had dogos for years now and I can honestly say I have never seen them used for coons or birds LOL. Hogs, cows, cougars, and police dogs, but never that LOL. Other then that if you get one from the right breeder with a solid reputation your good to go. If not your playing a crap shoot getting what you want. Too many "breeders" breeding for the show and money but not the go. Read the breed standards, go meet some dogos in person from a reputable HUNTING breeder, and then make a decision. If your just wanting a family pet then the SHOW breeders should be able to help you with that or consider a rescue.
