Not necessarily again every barrel is different. I havent kept up but the new production ammo for the military is the 55 gr right?  I would be interested in knowing why they go with a faster twist.

I would figure it to do with the shorter barrel and still having to qualify at 300 meters and they need that fast rate to stabilize out further. The green tip xm855 are  62gr and that's all I ever shot in the army and possibly still used, but I did find some of the green tip in 55grn. May  break open this can of m855 and see if it's green tip and if so, if it groups like the m193, I may go buy a couple more 900rd cans and sell the loose cartons of the American eagle. The loose packs I got are not green tipped, so the extra wt at the front of the tipped rounds may also help with Flt stabilization with the heavier round. I don't know. Maybe this civilian eagle ammo ain't the same as the military, but it says m855 so I would figure it would be the same as the military since American eagle is made federal/lake city

Why should I trade one tyrant three thousand miles away for three thousand tyrants one mile away? An elected legislature can trample a man's rights as easily as a king can!
