After the Homer match James was disgusted with Jeep cause he could have finished it much earlier but just laid there in hold. That is why he sold him. According to James his brother was a much better dog but Supernat didn't promote him. Jeep produced some sorry specimens but everything in the country with the means was backed up to him. He also produced some fine dogs! If you look back in history there are a buttload of famous curs who produced very good offspring. Snooty Rascal and Bullyson all quit at one time then went on to redeem themselves. It's more complex than the average dogman understands.
