that works good if you got a forge, but only thing i got is a cutting torch, welder, grinder and drill motor and bits. i would like to anneal it to make it easier to work, but tempering it again is where i don't have the tools for. the grinder with water i hope is working, not letting it get to hot, and making lite passes. iv gotta start tapering the end where I'm gonna put my edge, and then lay it out and find a way to cut the metal away for the handle. i may use a cut off wheel and have the wife keep water poured on it to keep the rasp cool, or find someone with a band saw and take my time cutting the handle out.
