Hell theres your answer in your post in my opinion..... the hogs moved out because of the water.

Yes in some places hogs dont mind the water as they are accustomed to it but think about it, would you want to live somewhere relatively dry with just enough water to be comfortable or would you want to live where you are in the water 80% of the time...... they moved to higher dryer ground.

I bet good money when the water goes down you will see hogs again.
