my opinion males don't get effected as much as females ... ask anyone that hunted  with my old poncho dog ....he was a hogdog period .....but... sometimes I knew there was hogs there he just wasn't get;n out there ......I could catch his collar  warp him about 4  times holler  you better git ahead and like a martin to a gord he'd be  bayed  many a time within 20 minutes or sooner ..... you just gotta  know the dog ...... i  know hunting fields is different than big woods ......most of the time theres a hog within a quarter of where we turn loose but the dog has  to get in there can't just lope roads .....
