Good point, I have heard this many times and I believe it with all my heart...
I would rather breed a crap dog from a good line of dogs that a great dog from a sorry line of dogs...One has to remember that you are not just breeding that dog when she comes into heat, you are breeding her line (if she has one)...
If you have to buy a puppy, the least money you will spend on that dog is to find someone who breeds the type of dogs you want, and that has proven it time and time again with their dogs...The dog may not be worth the time, but you will be way better off than just looking in the puppy adds and finding the first pups you can find for a 100 bucks....
Now again, the price of the pup may not mean anything at all, and should really be the least of your worries....Some pups are over priced, and some are under priced...some are given away at both ends of the sprectrum.....In life you have to do the research, and if you don't you will be taken more times than not..
