not tryin to sound dumb but ive never hunted behind a hound but was wondering when they open up are they normally on a trail that is an hour or two old or are they on one that has just come through in the last few mins? im wondering this because im thinking of getting a plott. thanks for all help.
setexasplott this is the question i addressed in the first part of my reply when i said hounds are generally open period.I said nothing about all hounds being open on track.Without knowing the dog there is know way to tell how old the track is when he barks.but when the man asks about a dog barkin on track I guess we would just have to assume he is an open hound wouldn't we.
