There is a product out called Caladryl that I found to work really well on chigger bites and the like and is advertised for poison ivy and oak.  It is a clear liquid that contains both calamine lotion and benedryl (hence the name) and I was impressed with the way it worked.  It is the ONLY think that would allow me to sleep after an unbelievable red bug attack from my knees to my ankles earlier this summer.  It also has a drying effect to help with the draining of the blisters.
