This is the bad boy that killed Matt's dogo Jewels and wrecked out Clifford and Brandy a few weeks ago. It's hard to judge his size from the red hog in front of him... but he's one of the biggest boars i've seen in person.

You can see by his ears the catch dogs did their jobs... gonna have to shoot him now.

I should have gotten some of the pics that had deer in them from the same set up for perspective, trust me he is BIG.  Not to metion I think this hog has more attitude and smarts per ounce then most.  It is also interesting to note that this is standing about 50 yards from where we struck him that night.  I think I am going to mount him whether my buddy shoots him deer hunting or we shoot him over the dogs.  This hog has a good story and means alot to me, I hope we can kill him before he decides that his life is at risk on this property.....I have a score to settle.

Grin  Now your talkin'.   That thing is a HORSE!   Compare the size of his eye, which is basically the same size in all hogs (about an inch), to the rest of his body.  I'd say he is pushing 4 feet at his whithers, and close to a 400lb hog if there ever was one.... +/- a few pounds now that he is missing his ears. Wink haha.  Whats more impressive is his build....very tall and lean with long legs.  A very dangerous hog.  His lean build mighy take away from his weight, but it makes him that much more of a rank hog.  Do You think he will have intentions of sticking around if yall get the dogs get on him agian, or do you think he will hightail it?

Waylon, you're right about his size... we got a real good look at him that night from about 10 yards. Of course no one had a gun!

We actually bayed him up again in the same thicket two weeks ago. Had him bayed with three dogs for almost an hour while Matt and the landowner tried to get in for a shot. It was at night and he was in a bad thick spot. They worked all around him and could never see him for the shot. I hung back with a catch dog in case it wasn't that hog. When he broke, he ran right by me and sounded like a bull busting through that brush. Dogs ran him for another hour but never bayed up again.

Our next hunt is going to be a morning hunt so we can see what we're getting into. Shocked

JW, I haven't heard from him. Tell him to give us holler and we'll get him in the woods.
