I'm about to breed this gyp to a pit RCD and find out myself, I've been interested in that cross for a while myself, with that cross they are bound to have the hunt and gritt plus some winding ability That is a very nice looking pointer. Make sure you breed her to a hard, leggy pit.

Thank you buddylee, she was a craigslist find, she had been dumped at about 6 months old, looked like " damn it " but is turning around and I really like her so far. I'm looking over a few different pits right now. a buddy at work has a yard full he hunts with but most are a little shorter than I like but his best dog has the best disposition you have ever seen on a pit and can do it all ( short range of course ). I'd like to find a hunting bull dog with more leg but so far there almost all used as lead in dogs and and it's hard to evaluate exactly how they are due to the fact that I am not around them as much as my buddies dogs. Thanks again and God Bless, Waylon.

EP/pit is the most popular followed by GSP/pit.
Someone told me, in another thread, about the positives of EP over GSP, but I cannot relocate that thread so far. i was hoping to get a GSP, but I am reconsidering on a EP. I would love to hear peoples opinions on the pros and cons of English Pointers vs. German Short haired Pointers for the purpose of crossing with bulldogs(pit/amstaff) for hog dogs, and also EP vs. GSP for bird hunting in Southeast Texas. One thing that stuck with me is that EP had more stamina in the heat and humidity which is the conditions I usually hunt in, besides winter. i only have personal experience with one GSP, so i know next to nada.

one guy said the his EP was aloof and not real companiable. i'm almost leaning to ep now. I wish I was rollin' in the dough I'd get EP, GSP, Cimarron Uruguayo, more bullies, Presa canario, wolf, BMC, CAT, JRT, Leopard Curr, Anatolian Sheperd, beagle, Armenian Gampr, and that'd about rap it up to start with.
as it is i just got work it out for one more, for the time bein'.
