The cold front had this boar a little rank tonight as we ran him through the brush for a little while before he bayed in a briar patch at the bottom of a ravine. The dogs were hammering and he had them backed WAY up. We eased right in on him and I let him have it in the shoulder with the 44 mag. He spun at the dogs and wasn't done yet, so I walked in a little closer and gave him one more to finish him off. Definitely the thickest boned hog I've ever caught.
