I got a 9 month old pup cut up pretty good, from the top of his shoulder to his elbow and all the way to the bone, recon what is the odds of it making him scared to fool with a hog anymore.

I got a 6 month bmc pup I took with me to feed my feeders last week and he jumped on some hogs nothing small and they hit him good in the leg and chest he seems to be alright he has a good attitude but gonna give him a month then show him a pig in a pen to see where he's at. I'll just have to slow down and let him be a pup.

Yeah me to, my plan is to let this pup heal completely and then leave this back gate open and see of he will go back to the hog pen and bay like he did before.

I've had a young one (about 10 months to a year) who I was hunting pretty regular and was running with my good gyp for a ways that got cut one day on her front leg and wanted nothing to do with a hog after that. She decided that rather than to mess with a hog she would break in the chicken yard one day and killed anything from a turkey to a duck that she caught, she didn't last too much longer after that
