FBMCBO male, out of pistolero and yellow jacket rose. He was a cow dog before i got him, not sure if how finished he was on cows, i didnt ask because i wasnt planning on working cattle with. I started him on hogs several yrs back and has found hogs for me but i dont hunt much anymore, school, work and 2wks worth of chores to do in 4 days consumes 99% of my time and he is going to waste in the kennel. He is close range, was like that when i got him, so im assuming the previous owner trained him to stay close to the horse while working cattle. Again, not sure how close to finished he was on cattle, but he is NOT finished or even close to finished on hogs. I bought him for his dna and he has worked fine that and the little hunting I do. I paid 2500 for him, didnt get that back in pups bc i wasnt in the market of a puppy mill, i mostly traded the pups for a bag of dog food or sold to cover the cost of shots and some feed.
