Went Christmas night and caught this big OLD fella on the second drop. Whiskey and shaggy were hunting fairly close that night and then while walking along I missed them checkin in. We stopped to listen and I beeped em pretty far south from us. About 10 min. go by and I hear Whiskey sounding off good and the lil uglydog choppin along with her, my buddy and I strolled out through the bottom and came up on the dogs and they were fighting him in the bike trail. He was just a spinning and that Uglydog Shaggy was crawlin all over him like a Spider Monkey up and down his back.

We watched for a bit until our other buddy caught up and then I sent Waylon to him and he sucked up that ear like it was candy. The old fella slung that bulldog straight up in the air but he held fast and I legged him quick but it took some help to flip him.He was caught and tied at about 11:20PM Christmas Night.

We took him home and put him in my pen for the evening and I saw CutterBay the next day and he knew some fellas that would like him for the baypen so they came over and we roped him and that is where this pic came from the next day with ole Whiskey. I sure do love hunting that old gyp, she loves it.

Craig, thanks and yes his right cutter was broke off worse than the left but they were both busted. he made up for that with his whetters. That hog was extremely old as well ... His front four teeth were wore almost down to the gums and lookin at him while he was standing would have showed how saggy he was. I should have taken a photo of him standing in the pen too, oh well.

I remeber several years ago I caught one just like that, big old hog with huge whetters and broken cutters.  Sure wish i could have seen what they would have been.  Anyway, good boar!
