He is open mouth, very good with other dogs, not gritty at all, he hunts medium range but when he smells a hog you better stick with him or have a tracking system. Only reason I am getting rid of him is because he is not very fast and I have 2 other young dogs that seem to be able to take a pretty cold track and I just don't use the Bluetick any. He has been hunted twice since April. I will give a 5 day trial on dog.
