I'll make this one quick.   Wink

Saturday turned loose at daylight.  The 2 blueticks and my cur dog trail in 680 yards off the road and bay up.  I'm pretty sure the hogs just bayed up right where the dogs cold trailed to them.  I see on the garmin that there is a road close to them.  We drive within 320 yards of them.  Bryan and Herb tell me they're ready to get wet.  We head into the large cyprus swamp.  Bryan cuts his bulldog from about 45 yards out.  I hear him hit, and Herb goes in to leg, Bryan goes to stick, and I am trying to video it.  It was about shin deep water.  As we are tending to the boar, I hear something walking around in the swamp to my left.  After we get him down, I told Bryan to lead his bulldog out, and Herb and I would gut and "ski" the boar out of the swamp.  After he leaves, I send the dogs on.  Within a minute, their back to trailing again.  We finally get to the truck with the hog.  By this time my dogs have made about a mile loop.  We drive up the road and they bay 300 yards to our right.  About that time, some guys dump their dogs to them.  Everything starts getting crazy.  When the dust settles, we have a nice sow caught, and a big boar and another hog slip off.  I call my dogs out, and head for a different area (don't want to hunt around these guys).  Let Byran make a drop, and then make another drop with my hounds.  Nothing else before we call it an early day.

Boar (gutted)

Sow

Pretty woods we hunted in around 10:00 AM

Next day, Herb, Jody, his son Tye, and I go again.  We drop out blind, my dogs get gone quick, and are off on the trail.  We run this one for a while before she "escapes" to the swamp.  Wrong move.  Cutter Bay hounds shut her down.  We send in Jody's walker, and seal the deal.  Nice sow.  I had a birthday party to attend for my sister, so we headed home very early.

Father, son time well spent.

Getting silly for the camera

Pistol is coming along nicely.  He is just under a year old, and is really doing well for me.

Of course the Blueticks had to be shown as well

Better shot of the beast

My wife and I just found out we are expecting our 2nd, so all the hunting I can get in now is much needed.   Grin Grin Grin Grin

Shocked Shocked Shocked I wasnt expecting that one! Congratulation brother! I am predicting a boy this time.

Good pictures too! From the looks of that sow, you traded your sticking knife for a battle axe. Grin
